ABG Takes Home the Company of the Year Award at the 2021 FN Achievement Awards

Authentic Brands Group was recognized as Company of the Year at the 35th annual Footwear News Achievement Awards, which took place Tuesday, November 30, at Cipriani South Street in New York City.

This year’s industry event, also known as the “Shoe Oscars,” marks the second time that ABG has been named as FNAA’s Company of the Year, with the first being in 2018 following the acquisitions of Nine West and Camuto Group.

Founder, Chairman and CEO Jamie Salter was presented the Company of the Year award by longtime friend and renowned Canadian hockey player Tie Domi. In his speech, Jamie accepted the award on behalf of the company and credited his team of employees, “This award is for all the people that work at ABG—because without them? Zero chance that we ever win an award like this.”

2021 was ABG’s most monumental year yet. The company landed the biggest footwear deal of the year with the acquisition of Reebok from Adidas, which is set to close in Q1 2022. It also recently secured a pair of major investors in CVC Capital Partners and HPS Investment Partners.
